About
Rebecca Mardal is a Swedish guitarist & producer. She started out in punk, but when asked about her sound, it comes back to life and the anxiety it entails. When you're playing guitar to stop overthinking, the approach is simple. Don’t think; feel. After moving to London to study music, a record label, a house fire and some misplaced trust wiped out her savings. She spent the following year in Liverpool going door-to-door fundraising for charities before applying to LIPA. She graduated with her degree handed to her by Paul McCartney. Back in Sweden, she rented a recording studio instead of a flat, sleeping on its couch and out of her beat-up car for a year.
