About
Banaras Baba & Kolkata Kid is the project of Sweden-based multi-instrumentalists K.G. Westman and Stian Grimstad, two long-time musical partners who spent years absorbing the sounds of the South Asian subcontinent before finding their own way to give it back to the world. Their music moves from meditative to ecstatic, acoustic to electric, classical to pop - a wide-ranging journey across India and beyond, with contributions from Jano Vega on pan flute, Hugo Widén on tabla and percussion, Linus Lundqvist on bansuri, Niklas Gabrielsson Lind on drums, and Andreas Unge on bass.
