About

Odyssey Orchestra is a 54-piece ensemble conducted by Grammy-nominated conductor and Juilliard alumnus Eric Jacobsen, recorded at Manhattan Center in New York City. Their debut release reimagines two cornerstones of Nordic classical music, Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite and Holberg Suite, giving the 19th century works a cinematic lift suited for modern storytelling. Jacobsen, who also leads the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the Orlando Philharmonic, called the sessions an absolute thrill, saying the music is deeply woven into Nordic culture and that the ensemble brought real energy to every phrase.
