An abiding playful spirit animates Guustavv’s 7-track instrumental hip-hop EP “Gryning." Guustavv’s style is gentle and whimsical, whether he’s flipping jazz samples, using nature samples as a rhythmic element rather than ambient sound, or making synths flutter and chatter to evoke the daily life of bugs roaming the mulch and mycelium on the forest floor.
