Mimmi Bangoura's hotly anticipated debut album "Ethereal" is finally here! To Mimmi, "the themes of this album tie in a lot with my first EP. While many of the songs are also about love, friendships and life in general, the difference this time around, however, is the sound and feel of the songs. Since this is an album with ten songs, it felt like there was room to experiment a bit more. I wanted to try and lean into different genres to not get stuck in my comfort zone." No more is this apparent than on the focus track "FEEL IT," a genre-bending track that sees Mimmi's smooth vocal soar above a looping melody that swells back and forth like waves washing onto the beach. The dreamlike result is a spellbinding track that you can simply play again and again, finding new details every time.
