About
Swedish composer, producer, pianist and conductor Johan Landqvist has built a prolific career spanning film, television, live performance and orchestral music. Educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, Johan is known for his versatility across composition, songwriting, arranging and orchestration, bringing a unique blend of musicality and technical expertise to every project. Throughout his career, Johan has worked with a wide range of international artists and productions, including Andrea Bocelli, Lionel Richie, Il Divo, Leona Lewis, Seal, ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, and Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor. He has also contributed to major television productions, including FOX’s global hit Glee and The Passion, as part of producer Peer Åström’s music team. As a musical director and conductor, Johan has led bands and orchestras across some of Scandinavia’s most prominent television productions and theatrical performances. His work includes musical direction for productions such as Mamma Mia!, We Will Rock You, The Producers, The Sound of Music, Rent and The Addams Family. Johan has composed music for Scandinavian television series, game shows and Hollywood film trailers, collaborating with leading composers and creatives internationally. He has also conducted and produced music for significant cultural events, including televised celebrations for the Swedish Royal Family and the Nobel Prize dinner entertainment. With decades of experience at the intersection of orchestral music, popular culture and visual storytelling, Johan Landqvist continues to create music that connects emotion, craftsmanship and cinematic scale.
