“‘Tribal’ is about breaking generational curses and overcoming obstacles in order to be the best version of myself. It’s filled with affirmations and positive reinforcement for not only me but the listener as well. It was made to take them on an emotional, and almost cinematic, kind of journey. I tried to make a song that would reflect every possible human emotion so that there is a song for every occasion. The main focus being my relationships with my family, my community, and my creator, and through the process of better understanding these relationships, I can ultimately better understand myself and hopefully have a more positive impact on my descendants and successors.” - Xavy Rusan
