Start a chat with Assistant and use plain language to describe what you’re looking for. Assistant has a deep understanding of Epidemic Sound’s 50,000 world-class tracks and 200,000 Hollywood-grade sound effects.

Assistant is directly connected to the Epidemic Sound catalog, so it doesn’t just give generic answers. It takes you through the soundtracking process, helping you explore, experiment, and refine your ideas.

How to use Assistant

Assistant is available to all Epidemic Sound subscribers. Here’s how to access and use it.

1. Log in to your Epidemic Sound account

You’ll see the “Assistant” tab at the top of the page. Clicking this will take you to the Assistant workspace. You can also access Assistant through search.

2. Start a conversation

Tell Assistant about your project’s soundtracking needs in the chat.

3. Explore the results

Preview the suggested options and play the tracks. If they’re the right fit, jump to the final step. If not, you can expand your search.

4. Expand your search

Fine-tune your search with natural language. For example, you can write “give me more like ‘Song Title’” or “make it more energetic,” if that’s what you want. You can also add a track to the chat prompt file. There’s no need for technical, music-theory language.

Below the range of tracks, Assistant also suggests next steps. Feel free to explore those and find new sounds.

5. Save or download your sounds

Once you’ve found the right track or sound effect, add it to a playlist or download it.

Here’s how to get the most out of Assistant.

1. Clarify your search

A broad keyword like “epic” can mean different things. Assistant may suggest tracks labeled with categories like “Cinematic Epic,” “Action Epic,” “Inspirational Epic”...there’s a lot of epic material in the catalog.

You can listen to the suggested tracks directly within the chat. If you’d like to explore one level deeper, you can ask Assistant to give you more tracks in that direction.

2. Explore Assistant’s clickable directions

As well as tracks and sound effects, Assistant suggests clickable directions to help you move forward. For example, it could prompt you to explore more tracks in the “Cinematic Epic” category, or to try tracks with a higher tempo.

3. Try smaller, quick tweaks

Because Assistant knows the Epidemic Sound catalog inside-out, it understands smaller, subtler prompts. Try asking for “heavier drums” or “catchier vocals” — Assistant knows what you’re talking about.
