About
Christian Nanzell grew up in Halmstad, a small town in the south of Sweden. With his sight set on music from an earlier age the only question was when, not if, he would do this for a living. His father, an avid music lover, owned a record shop and Christian remembers going through stacks of records as a kid, marvelling at the artists and bands on the covers. Inspired by his idols, he started playing guitar at the age of 9 and hasn’t put it down since. Nanzell has split his musical persona into multiple projects allowing him to explore different styles and facets of his artistry. Under the Tigerblood Jewel moniker Nanzell releases gritty, rough-edged rock that will have you thinking of rusty pick-up trucks and roadside bars in the heart of America. The music has a definite retro flare to it and with gnarly guitar riffs, bold drums and thumping baselines he delivers music packed with intensity and attitude.
