Ruiqi Zhao is a film composer and multi-instrumentalist from Changchun, China who excels in creating emotional and immersive soundtracks. She earned her master’s degree in film composition at Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Dave Rivello and Emmy-winning composer Mark Watters. Ruiqi is a versatile composer who integrates retro and contemporary sounds as she continues to develop her signature voice in composition. She particularly enjoys scoring action, romance, and mystery movie genres, and she has already earned composing credit on several feature films and video game trailers. Notably, she worked as a composer on the film Peaceful Town & Upward Life, an award-winning selection at the Pingyao International Film Festival. In 2023, Ruiqi was named finalist for the Apulia Music Awards' Emerging Composer, and she worked as a Music Arranger on the Apple TV motion picture "One True Love."
