About
For American composer Gavin Luke, music has been his lifeblood since the very beginning. Following in the footsteps of both his parents and his grandmother, Gavin began classical piano training at the age of 7. His unique talents were immediately discernible as was his insatiable hunger for mastering the instrument. Unlike other children of his age, Gavin would frequently re-write the classical masterpieces of renowned pianists Brahms and Mozart. It was clear music was the only thing that could bring him pure happiness and satisfaction - something that he would chase for the rest of his life. Gavin’s music education continued as he studied music theory extensively, played in several bands, and eventually immersed himself in the nuances of film scores. His talents finally led him to the prestigious Berklee College of Music where Gavin studied synthesis and film scoring. Since graduating, Gavin has divided his talents between composing his own pieces and composing music for films. His music career has flourished in more ways than he could have imagined, yet in all ways deserved. His compositions are delicately heartfelt, oozing with emotion and history. To this day, he records many of his compositions on his grandmother’s 1925 Steinway grand piano, with it’s melodies being heard billions of times around the internet.
