About

Dian Shuai is a music composer specializing in film and television scores, theater music, and classical works, currently based in Los Angeles. Classically trained in piano, harpsichord, and organ, he has performed internationally—including at the Wiener Musikverein—and recorded a piano album at the age of 11. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Music in Contemporary Media and Film Composition from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied under Mark Watters and Jeff Beal. His recent credits include orchestrating the centennial documentary Eastman at 100, composing the Off-Broadway immersive musical Dreams of Dracula, and winning the Grand Prize in the Global International Music Competition. Known for his emotional depth, technical precision, and versatility across genres, Dian blends his classical foundations—especially his passion for Baroque music—with innovative scoring for film, television, and multidisciplinary art projects.
