17 Global Goals, 17 tracks, and one mission to improve the planet

Creating Change

Music is powerful. It influences our emotions and inspires action. Through music, we want to inspire everyone to make the world a better place.

Together with our artists, we’re Creating Change. We’ve produced 17 original tracks to help raise awareness of the 17 Global Goals.

A force for good

A force for good

The 17 goals are a blueprint for targeting inequality, raising living standards, and improving sustainability worldwide by 2023. We invited some of our artists including Ooyy, Anna Landström, Adelyn Paik, Ebo Krdum, and Christoffer Moe Ditlevsen to choose a goal close to their heart and bring it to life through music.

Epidemic Sound x HEART 17

Creating Change is just one of the ways we’re continuing our partnership with HEART 17 — an initiative that raises awareness of the Global Goals.

By collaborating with companies, youth leaders, and changemakers worldwide, HEART 17 shines a light on the goals and encourages action. HEART 17, other partners like Spotify and Cake, and creators all around the world can use our original tracks to unite inspiring content and campaigns and work towards achieving the goals together.

OOYY, theme song for all 17 goals, Atlas 17

“Atlas 17 is about the hopeful feeling you get when you start something big and let it evolve together with others into something even bigger and more beautiful, just like the earth in a way. It's all about coming together and inspiring each other.”

Ebo Krdum, Warfree World / Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions, Warfree World

"The inspiration for this song was actually a dream I had one day. I woke up and started to write down the idea which was a lovely, green, peaceful, and war-free land. It was such a perfect yet strange coincidence to be asked to be part of this initiative at the same time.”

Torii Wolf, good health and well-being, June Lake

“June Lake brings me back to spending quality time in nature with my family. Exploring a deep and loving connection can open our hearts and minds to finding empathy and compassion as well as many different perspectives which is crucial for positive change and a hopeful future."

Mimmi Bangoura, soundtrack for gender equality, Forever, Whenever

“I chose to write a song about gender equality because it’s something I can relate to. I wanted the song to be a reassurance that things are going to be okay. It has a sad undertone to reflect the struggles that people go through but to get the message across that we should have hope for our future.”

Nico Rengifo, zero hunger, Ya No Quiero Mas

“I chose zero hunger as it’s close to my heart. I’m from Colombia and there is a lot of injustice there. When I fled from my home country, we often didn’t have enough money for food or more than a dollar a day to feed the whole family. It was a natural topic for me to talk about.”

NBHD Nick, Climate Action, My Turf

“During the recording of ‘My Turf’ I chanelled my ideas of what climate change looks like to me and the impact I can make, and put it in a creative format to build the bridge and bring those ideas to life through music.”

Caro Luna, El Agua / Clean Water & Sanitation, El Agua

“Without creativity humankind is nothing. It’s what makes us special and guides us when we are innovating and finding solutions to our biggest problems. To me, creativity is something you have to work on systematically and always with your goal and vision in mind.”

Christoffer Moe Ditlevsen, A Future Promise / Responsible Consumption & Production, A Future Promise

“Creativity is a force to be reckoned with, and I think using creativity to convey a message for the benefit of our own future is absolutely vital and a great way to give and gain awareness about sustainability.”
