How does the Epidemic Sound Community challenge work?
It’s simple. What does community mean to YOU? Create a short video with the tagline ‘Create together, thrive together’ and use an Epidemic Sound track. Check out the catalog here.
Post your video on Instagram or YouTube, and submit your entry before 9th June, 2022.
Subscribe to Epidemic Sound
To enter, you need an active Epidemic Sound subscription. Don't have one yet? Sign up for a 30-day free trial here. Joining Epidemic Sound gives you access to over 40,000 royalty-free tracks and 90,000 sound effects, and lets you into our Community Program – more on that in a minute, though!
How does collaboration lead to exciting opportunities where you can create and thrive together? What story do you want to tell? How do you make people feel part of your community? How do you *show* that? Film and edit it in-app, or use video editing software. When you’re ready, post your 45 to 60-second video on Instagram or YouTube.
You'll need to add those platform accounts to your Epidemic Sound subscription. That way, you’ll steer clear of copyright claims. You’ll be reminded to do this when you start your subscription, and can always add more if you need.
Don't forget the referral link!
When you upload your video, post your Epidemic Sound referral link in the description or on your channel’s description. Every Epidemic Sound user has their own unique referral link, which they can share with their friends, colleagues and audience. If someone signs up and becomes a paying subscriber with your link, you earn yourself a free month on Epidemic Sound.
Find your link in the ‘Me’ space of your Community page. Use it to show off where you’re getting all your great tracks and encourage your followers to try us out!
Pro tip… You can also include the #ESCommunityChallenge hashtag in your video’s description for extra visibility.

Once you’ve signed up for an Epidemic Sound subscription and created your video, you’re ready to roll. Submit your video below, and remember that you have until 9th June, 2022, to get in on the action.
The competition will close after 11:59 PM in every timezone on 9th June, 2022.
When will the winners be announced?
Once the challenge closes on June 9th, 2022, each video will be judged by our panel of creative and content experts at Epidemic Sound. They include:

Our panel members know their stuff. Your video will be considered for originality and story, rather than the quality of the production. This means that hungry newbies will have the same chance of winning as seasoned pros with expensive gear — if you’ve got the ideas, you’ve got a chance!
Three winners will be announced during the third week of June 2022. This will all go down on our Instagram, so follow us there and keep your eyes peeled.
There’s a whole host of prizes on offer, which we chose thanks to feedback from our online community of creators and Instagram followers.
- First Prize: A Sony ZV-E10L vlog camera with 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, worth $799; a MasterClass annual membership; mentorship from an Epidemic Sound Ambassador, whom we’ll announce on our Instagram; and a year’s subscription to Epidemic Sound’s Personal Plan.
