Our most powerful search engine yet

Not to toot our own horn, but after 13 years in the business, we know a thing or two about soundtracking. We’re sharing that knowledge with our most powerful search engine yet. Find fresh music with our new and intuitive search features, or check out trending topics for your ideal soundtrack.

So, what's new? Let's break it down. But first, check out this video we made for the launch of our new search engine!

Topics

Our music is used to soundtrack tens of millions of videos every year. Topics makes the most of the knowledge and data we’ve collected from years of soundtracking the world.

Topics helps you find which sounds are being used in different types of content, and lets you explore how different communities are using our music in their content. Topics results are included in the track listing on the results page when searching. To access related Topics, simply search and click the ‘Topics’ tab.

Now you can search using descriptive words and sentences to get even more refined results. For example, try something like ‘music for a podcast about yoga’ and see for yourself.

Semantic Search will try to weigh in the intent and meaning of your searches for improved result accuracy. It understands that certain words and phrases are closer in meaning than others, returning relevant results even though there might be no direct hits based on our tagging.

Updated Typeahead

When you start typing something into the search bar, our typeahead feature suggests matching search words so you can get to what you’re after, faster. These suggestions now come in different categories: theme, playlist, artist, genre and mood. So, regardless of whether you’re after a broad theme or a specific artist, you can get to it faster.

New results page

Searching for something is often simple enough; it's‌ sifting through the results that can get tricky. Our new results page shows you matching themes, artists and their releases, and all matching results before the track listing. This means you don’t have to sort through hundreds of tracks just to get to the artist you want.

Search suggester

If you search for something and you don't get any results, we’ll now suggest similar and connected search words, to make sure you find what you’re looking for.

So, give it a go! Search in your own words to find the perfect soundtrack for your content. Whether it’s words, a phrase, or a feeling, type it into our search engine and we’ll make sure you find exactly what you’re looking for.
