App news: Recommendations for your YouTube videos and playlists

Knowing where to look for that perfect soundtrack can be difficult. Searching, filtering, sorting and listening — we know the feeling. Soundtracking should be fun, not tedious. That’s why we tailor the Epidemic Sound experience to you personally.

YouTube channel recommendations – now also in the app!

Based on recently uploaded videos to the YouTube channel that's connected to your Epidemic Sound account, we’ll provide you with music-matching recommendations. These recommendations have been live on the web for some time, but now you can also access them in the app!

To access the recommendations, just log into your account on the web, click the menu in the top right corner, choose ‘Account,’ then scroll down to add your YouTube channel.

Create a playlist and get matching suggestions!

Have you created a favorite playlist that you keep coming back to when looking for that perfect soundtrack to go with your next video? If you want to beef up that playlist and add more similar music and sound effects, check out the suggested tracks at the bottom of the playlist.

With our ever-improving, machine learning-based playlist suggestions, you get music and sound effects suggestions matching the tracks in your playlist.

Search history for Android

Searching for music should be quick and easy. If you find yourself using the same search term repeatedly, you shouldn’t have to type it every time. Now you can find your most recent music and sound effect searches in a drop-down listing. Just click the search bar on the ‘Browse’ page (the middle tab with a magnifying glass symbol.) This has previously only been available on iOS.
