Stockholm, Sweden – Epidemic Sound, the award winning* tech company disrupting the music industry, announces the launch of ‘More of what you like’: a machine learning-based tool to help its community of content creators, agencies, freelancers, brands and creatives find the music they need to soundtrack their stories, videos, podcasts and content across online platforms.

All Epidemic Sound account holders who have downloaded at least one track will now see five ‘More of what you like’ track recommendations at a time embedded into their personal starting page. Based on each creator’s recently downloaded tracks, the personalized recommendations are generated by a machine learning-based tool developed by Epidemic Sound’s in-house Product team.

The music discovery feature has been rolled out over a one month period and marks Epidemic Sound’s second move towards offering personalized music discovery for its creative community. It comes hot on the heels of the success of the company’s October launch of a ‘Music Recommender’ for YouTubers, which was praised by content creators on social media.

“We were thrilled to see how our ‘Music Recommender’ for YouTubers instantly had a positive impact on our creators’ workflows. All our numbers point in the right direction and we saw a 450% overnight increase in the number of Epidemic Sound subscribers able to find and download tracks early** in the music discovery process,” comments Chief Product Officer at Epidemic Sound, Johan Mohlin.

“We’re excited to build on this success to launch our ‘More of what you like’ feature and power our wider creator community with personalized music discovery.”

Oscar Höglund, CEO and co-founder at Epidemic Sound, adds: “Over the years, Epidemic Sound has helped millions of online channels to find the music they need to soundtrack their creations - we know how our music is used in online content and understand how tracks interact with each other to bring all types of stories to life.”

We’re excited at the opportunity this insight brings to provide our creative community with new, simple ways to discover music that resonates with their individual stories, channels and followers.”
