Epidemic Sound signs with Curse

April 15, 2015

STOCKHOLM – April 15th, 2015 – Epidemic Sound signs with one of the worlds largest gaming networks, Curse, which will give their creators unlimited use of the Epidemic Sound library of production music.

Curse is one of the worlds leading and largest YouTube gaming Multi-Channel Network with over 4000 partners and over a billion monthly views in January alone. The Curse YouTube team is based in San Francisco, CA, their development team in Huntsville AL, and sales offices in Los Angeles, New York, United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia.

Epidemic Sound, whose music library is used by TV broadcasters, production companies and online video creators all over the world, is the first catalogue that visual content creators can use in any country, on any platform, forever. And, unlike traditional production music libraries, no additional charges, reporting or restrictions are ever required of anyone.

The agreement with Epidemic Sound gives Curse MCN creators access to more than 25,000 unique music tracks and over 30,000 sound effects which are tagged and formatted for Epidemic Sound’s advanced search and editing tools. Each track is split into STEMS, where the instruments can be heard and edited separately, creating over 100,000 sound files available for use.

Benjamin Page, Head of Online Video Platforms at Epidemic Sound, said:“We are delighted to be partnering with Curse – a dynamic player in the MCN space. Our music library is a great match with gaming content and we hope it will make a positive impression on the viewers”.

In addition to Curse, a few of Epidemic Sound’s current customers include broadcasters such as SVT, Channel5/Viacom and RTL; production companies Zodiak, Metronome and Fremantle Media; Online companies Mediakraft, Disney’s Maker and Freedom; and brands McDonalds, Porsche and Red Bull.
